Clear and traceable
Editorial policy
Clear explanations, traceable figures and honest limits guide what we publish.
Use traceable sources
Published numerical defaults must come from government, regulators, legislation or manufacturer information. Source records identify the original material and the date checked.
Personal inputs, illustrative examples and published reference figures are labelled according to their role. We do not present an example price as a current tariff.
Explain the method
A calculator should make its inputs, units, formulas and assumptions visible. A blog post should explain the question in plain language and connect it to the relevant calculator.
Important limits belong with the content. We do not invent testimonials, professional credentials or expert endorsements.
Check before publication
There is no expert review. Pages are checked against their specifications, calculation examples and source records before approval.
Missing or unsupported figures must not be guessed. A blog post is published only when the calculator it depends on is eligible to be published.
Correct and update
Rates, rules and content should be checked when their source changes. Incorrect or unsupported values are removed from publication until corrected.
If you spot a problem, note the page, country, inputs and result so the issue can be reproduced. Available contact details are listed on the Contact page.
